This first floor room to the rear of this Aberdeen city centre property had become subject of an ongoing leak for some time. The result of this was wet rot to the end of each of five of the joists, mainly those around the waste pipe. We uplifted and disposed of the original flooring, then broke out between each of the joists to allow us access to the joist end, and fit a new section of treated timber alongside. All the granite pockets were bricked up before finally laying new 28mm tongue and grooved floorboards.
