This ground floor flat, which is part of a detached ‘four in a block’ property built around the mid 1930’s was suffering from penetrating damp on the gable wall and the front and rear elevations (lower sections). The flooring timbers were also subject to a mild infestation of woodworm.
The project was part of a wider scope of works, in which McKnight Building Preservation was involved in, from the new kitchen and bathroom fitting to the replacement of some of the internal timber finishings and plasterwork.
