An old detached property at Barras, south of Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire was treated for woodworm throughout.
Evidence of the common furniture beetle was clearly seen in the roof void (most typical area where they can be found), and the ground floor supporting timber frames, with a light scattering in the main floor areas. The floorboards were lifted to give access to the supporting joists, and all these areas were treated with an insecticide which combats the woodworm at all stages of its’ development.
